The all island final round of popular IT talent search Microsoft Imagine Cup was held recently held at Grand Ballroom of Hotel Galadari. The Imagine Cup is one way Microsoft is encouraging young people to apply their imagination, their passion and their creativity to technology innovations that can make a difference in the world. In this 6th consecutive year the theme was Imagine a world where technology enables a sustainable environment.The winners were Team "Sasrutha" from University of Moratuwa - Faculty of Information Technology & Faculty of Engineering (UOM) and 1st runners up were Team Gagana from Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) and the 2nd runners up were from University of Moratuwa - Faculty of Engineering (UOM) of Team Will Power.
The Sri Lankan winners will be flying to France for the global competition which will be held in upcoming months. Congratulations!!!
