No Disruption To Railway Services by Bomb Blast

Sri Lanka railway control room has confirmed that all railway operations are now continuing as scheduled. A bomb blast has been taken place today evening around 7.35 p.m at Colombo Fort railway station which injured one civilian.

However search operations are in progress inside as well as outside the railway station.

LTTE Bomb Explosion in Colombo Fort Railway Station

Suspected LTTE bomb explosion has taken place inside the Colombo fort railway station around 7.35 this evening. The explosion has occurred on the fourth platform. According to the available information only one civilian is injured from this incident.
However Colombo general hospital staff is on alert for any kind of emergency situation. According to Police this is also a parcel bomb which is similar to one which blasted near Lack House roundabout.
